Lauren Harries removes bandages for first time since suffering ‘worst nightmare’ by losing hair during brain surgery

has shared another update with fans as she recovers from emergency brain surgery.

It was revealed last month that the TV star, 45, was with her mum

Lauren is still in hospital and is currently having physiotherapy to ‘get her strength back’ after the ordeal.

Sharing a photo to her official page, the star sat up in bed with her mum next to her, with a loving arm around her shoulders.

‘Lauren is having physiotherapy to get her strength back after the operation’, the tweet read.

‘She is still in hospital but hopefully she will be home soon.

‘It has been such a stressful time but she knows her family are always with her.’

It concluded: ‘We all love her so much, mother and daughter love is so strong!’

Fans continued to send their well wishes for her recovery.

‘Get well soon … sending love your way … hope your mum is ok too. Surgery is really exhausting xx’, one follower replied.

‘Sending healing prayers. Our thoughts are with you’, another wrote.

‘Sending you healing hugs and hope your recover soon. Take care’, one tweeted.

Also in the photo, Lauren could be seen for the first time without bandages on her head post-op.

She recently shared that ’ by being forced to lose her curly blonde locks during the procedure.

‘They had to shave her hair. As you know this is Laurens worst nightmare but she would have died if not.’

Praising the staff, the message added: ‘The amazing staff in the Heath Hospital have been wonderful.

‘Thank you for your kind words, her recovery ahead. Update to follow.’
