He might let rip at his less successful Apprentice wannabes, but seems happy to trust them with the task of designing his coffin.
Firing on all cylinders as he hosts the BBC show’s 17th season, the 75-year-old suggested one episode could be inspired by his passing.
‘Maybe one of the tasks for my last year of is, I announce I’m about to die, and can someone design a nice coffin for me?’ Lord Sugar told this week’s Radio Times.
‘One that has communications built in… a keyboard and mobile phone connectivity and rechargeable batteries for the funeral parlour!’
However, he is in no rush to give up on The Apprentice, suggesting it would be nice to finish with the 20th series.
‘If I feel fit and happy, there’s no reason why I can’t just carry on until they take me out of the boardroom in a coffin,’ he said.
