A superfan believes ’s return to the villa could have been handled differently.
The 21-year-old theatre performer was last week after former contestant made a dramatic comeback and stole Zachariah Noble from her.
While there was initial suspicion over whether her exit from the series was genuine or not, Molly later appeared on Aftersun, which gave the impression she was gone for good.
But in the teaser clip at the end of tonight’s instalment, it was confirmed that Molly is in fact back in the main villa for Casa Amor week.
While several shared mixed opinion over her return, one fan revealed the Love Island team might’ve missed an opportunity to intensify the atmosphere.
The fan, who goes by @olivialayne6 on TikTok, explained: ‘I feel like they should have put her [Molly] in the villa with the OG girls but have her sat on the pool lounge or something with her back facing the door.
‘That gives her the opportunity to meet a new guy and then for the recoupling she walks back into the main villa with a new man on her arm and then the OG boys are shocked.’
She continued: ‘I feel like that would’ve been the real gag because then we get to see Zach’s reaction to her with a new guy.’
It seemed as though Love Island fans everywhere agreed with this person’s alternative, with one person replying: ‘That would have made fantastic TV. Homegirl needs a job ASAP!!’
‘This would have been GENIUS!! What a missed opportunity,’ another added.
Friday’s episode with global superstar Ne-Yo giving the girls the ultimate send-off.
Pointing at their ride, which had ‘Casa VIPs’ branded on the side, the singer said: ‘I have a surprise for you… that car right there.’
Viewers couldn’t believe the scenes with one going as far to describe it as Bafta-worthy.
‘Having Ne-Yo send the girls to Casa Amor is insane, the producers are in their bag this season,’ one enthused.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘Ne-Yo bringing the girls to Casa Amor, the boys running after them, the lights turning on in Cas Amor, them looking out into the distance at the Casa Amor villa hahahahhaa a cinematic masterpiece.’
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
