Love Islanders’ wages before the villa from basketball player Zachariah to estate agent Catherine

While to us they are now just a couple of months ago the characters who keep us entertained between 9 and 10pm each evening had ‘regular’ jobs.

Of course, the villa inhabitants could be set to catapult their earnings if they However, some are likely to return to their day job.

According to research, which is based on the average salary of their public occupations, the individuals earn between £13,000 and £60,000, however, one islander reportedly has a net worth of an impressive £1 million.

Let’s take a look at who would appreciate the £50,000 winner’s cash prize, and who’s bank account is thriving without it…

Whitney Adebayo – Entrepreneur, £58,625

Entering the villa as a bombshell, Whitney, an entrepreneur from London’s Camden, joined the show to find her Mr.Right.

Upon arriving, Whitney wasted no time informing her new friends that she had her own wig business, and even brought 30 of her favourite hair pieces with her to Mallorca. Firstly, how big is her suitcase? And also, how many does she own altogether?

The 25-year-old launched Candy Corner hair while still at university, which is pretty impressive and admitted some guys were intimidated by her success. Hopefully she can find someone who matches her energy in the villa!

Zachariah Noble – Personal Trainer and Basketball Player, £50,830

Zachariah, 25, was the first male bombshell of the season arriving at the villa to shoot his shot, and his career as a semi professional basketball player for Worcester Wolves could be earning him around £20,830 a year.

He is also a personal trainer in his spare time which could add on an extra £30,000.

Ella Thomas – Fashion Model, £50,000

Glaswegian fashion model, Ella, was named female model of the year at the Scottish media awards. As well as modelling, the 23-year-old has made her fair share of appearances in music videos and was even an extra in the film World War Z.

For her modelling work we can expect she is earning up to £50,000 a year and her role in music videos could average around £437 extra a week.

Jess Harding – Aesthetics Practitioner, £47,000

Jess may be only 22, but she’s the owner of London-based beauty clinic Candy Aesthetics.

Depending on how popular her clinic is, she could be earning between £47,000 to £100,000.

She also had a a healthy following of 79.6k on Instagram before even setting foot in the villa, so she could have been topping up her wage with that too.

Mehdi Edno – Model and Communications Manager, £47,315

Mehdi, a model and communications manager, is estimated to earn around £47,315 a year.

He was recently dumped from the island so he is amongst the first who is able to cease upon opportunities that Love Island offers.

Sammy Root – Project Manager, £46,800

Another contestant who entered the villa as a bombshell to ruffle some feathers was 22-year-old project manager Sammy.

He is already expected to be earning £46,800 a year with his current job, a hefty wage considering how young he is.

Catherine Agbaje – Commercial Real Estate Agent, £46,670

Could a role on Selling Sunset be on the cards for Catherine who paused her job as a commercial real estate agent in the hopes of finding love.

She has two degrees with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology, as well as a master’s in real estate. Her job in Dublin could be earning her an average of £46,670.

Leah, 27, runs her own social media marketing agency in Manchester which could be earning her £42,120 or more at present, but some Love Island fame could result in some more inbound leads to catapult the agency further.

Mitchell, 26, is a gas engineer which is likely to be earning him an average annual salary of £40,000.

We hope nobody had him booked for a service in June.

Molly Marsh – Social Media Influencer and Theatre Performer, £26,200

Although she’s already left the villa, rumour mill is in overdrive that she could be returning for Casa Amor to reunite with Zachariah.

Back in the UK, she is a theatre performer and social media influencer. Prior to Love Island, Molly had around 600k followers on TikTok thanks to her posts featuring catchy dance trends and outfit videos.

On average, actors can earn around £26,200 per year in the UK and with her social media following, which has sky rocketed since the start of the show, she could also be boosting that salary.

Tyrique Hyde – Footballer, £13,000

Ella could be spending her Saturday mornings watching Tyrique kick a ball around soon if their relationship continues to flourish.

The 24-year-old played in central midfield for Lewes FC before heading off to Spain to find love.

In 2017, they became the first club to pay their women’s team the same as their men’s team. Each player earns between £175-£250 according to the most recent public figures.

Kady McDermott – Entrepreneur, Reality Star and Influencer, £1.3 million net worth

Having already appeared on the second series of Love Island Kady, 27, already knows what opportunities are possible from the show.

With over 1.2 million followers on Instagram, the entrepreneur, who is the head of multiple brands spanning beauty and fitness, could be charging over £15,00 for one single sponsored post.

Scott van-der-Sluis – Footballer, £19,350

Another contestant taking some time away football pitch to find their match is Scott van der Sluis, hailing from North Wales.

Recently signed by Shelbourne FC in Dublin, the goalkeeper is estimated to be earning around £19,000 a year playing in the Ireland Premier Division.

Head Coach Damien Duff proved he’s got a sense of humour with his statement about the resignation.

‘I was shocked and saddened that Scott chose a villa in Mallorca full of beautiful single women over myself, the staff and the players,’ he began.

Yet another semi-professional footballer in this year’s villa is 25-year-old Montel McKenzie who also works as an account manager in East London.

Of the semi-pro players looking for love this Summer, Montel could be bringing home one of the healthiest wages of £26,000 for the football alone. This is due to playing for a team in the National League South which sees an average weekly earning of £500 for its players. For his 9 to 5 role as an account manager, he’s likely to be bringing home an average of £37,109 per annum.
