Molly Marsh’s mum forced to deny accusations over ITV and Love Island return plot

’s ’s mother is said to have been made to confirm she had no involvement with her daughter’s shock return to the dating show. 

The 21-year-old was booted off the series after former contestant , 27, arrived as a bombshell and stole her partner Zachariah Noble, 25. 

Despite her early exit, the budding star as a Casa Amour cast member, surprising viewers and islanders alike. 

Following her reappearance, Molly’s mum Janet has reportedly been forced to deny she worked for ITV or had any affiliation with the popular fixture. 

Ahead of the islander’s debut on the show, it was widely reported that Molly’s parent had enjoyed a stint as an actress on Coronation Street in the past. 

According to Planet Radio, the mother of the influencer slammed the comments and set the record straight via a post on social media.

She is said to have penned online: ‘I just want to put you all straight on this ‘producer plant’ rubbish.

‘I do NOT work for ITV!! I never have! And don’t know where this ridiculous idea has come from. I’m a teacher and part time actress and mum! Unless there is someone with the same name at ITV, but it’s 100% not me. So please don’t believe this nonsense, it’s not fair on us or Molly [sic].’

She said: ‘We already have been very big and of the show. They know how the show works and what it entails. 

‘So they are really excited for me and they know how much I love being in a relationship.’ 

Since walking back into the villa, Molly claimed she had ‘unfinished business’ with her former partner Zach and kept fans wondering whether she would forgive the basketballer player for straying once she left.

Last night’s episode saw the budding stars rekindle their relationship and share a kiss, confirming things were back on track for their blossoming love story. 

Their reunion came ahead of a teaser that closed the show by warning contestants they would be forced to re-couple and choose who they wanted to stick with as Casa Amour came to an end. 

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
