The 10-parter first season revolves around Amy Lau (Ali Wong) and Daniel Cho (Steven Yeun) who are perfect strangers, before battling it out in an extreme road rage incident.

Failing contractor Daniel and self-made plant entrepreneur Amy may seem entirely different, but they have in common than they think in that they are two deeply unsatisfied people.

Their lives become increasingly intertwined as they try to get revenge on each other, before it all comes to a dramatic climax in the final episode.

The series is now being put forward for Emmy Awards consideration as a limited or anthology series, reports .

Fans are already behind the idea of a second season.

One person tweeted: ‘Phenomenal ending to a phenomenal show. I need a season two desperately’.

‘ on netflix is thoroughly enjoyable. It’s been a long time since I had this much fun watching a netflix original. That being said, I need season two NOW,’ another added.

‘I need Beef season two immediately,’ chimed in another fan. Straight to the point.

The people have spoken!

Beef is available to stream on Netflix.
