Crystal Dynamics reminds everyone it’s making a new Tomb Raider as it announces it will be built with Unreal Engine 5.

We already knew that developer Crystal Dynamics is working on a new Tomb Raider game. The studio said as such last year for , but details were incredibly slim. There wasn’t even a teaser trailer.

While Crystal Dynamics is still staying tight-lipped about the game, it has now confirmed that development has begun and that it will be using . ‘I’m excited to announce I now work at the amazing Crystal Dynamics as design director,’ he tweeted. ‘That’s all I can say other than I’m thrilled with the project, and especially the team of really wonderful people.’

Tomb Raider is not the only project Crystal Dynamics currently has underway, as it’s still supporting its with post-launch content and updates.

It was also brought on to assist development with last year. However, it’s recently been suggested that Crystal Dynamics has practically taken over following .
