Fans were evacuated just moments before Noel Gallagher was due to perform in after police responded to a bomb threat.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds were set to hit the stage at Saratoga Springs on Saturday evening when the crowd were promptly asked to leave the area.
In a new post on the New York State Park Police Facebook page, officials have revealed that there was a bomb threat at the venue, but no explosives were found after a thorough search.
‘On 07/08/2023, The New York State Park Police, New York State Police, Saratoga Springs Police Department, Troy Police Department, and Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat at Saratoga Performing Arts Center,’ the message read.
‘Out of an abundance of caution, the concert at Saratoga Performing Arts Center was suspended ‪at 9:40 pm and concert attendees were evacuated without incident.
‘K9s completed a sweep of the venue after the crowd exited, with negative results.’
‘This incident is under investigation. This case will be investigated as, Making a Terroristic Threat, a Class D Felony,’ they added.
reports that Metric and Garbage completed their performances before the audience was asked to leave.
Garbage issued an apology on their official Twitter page, explaining that they had no information over why the evacuation took place.
‘We have no idea what happened tonight,’ they penned at the time. ‘We were just all evacuated and we were concerned for everyone!!!
‘I’m sorry we have no real information. We were just told there was an emergency evacuation!!!!’
Fans were quick to thank the group for shedding light on the situation and revealed that it was a ‘scary’ evening for many in the crowd.
‘Thank you for thinking of us all. A little scary, but hopefully all ends well,’ one replied. ‘It was an amazing show. Saratoga loves you!’
‘Got back home. 2 hour drive but we’re safe,’ another agreed. ‘Seems like everyone were able to get out. Hope what ever it is, is figured out and resolved!

As an Instagram user added: ‘Glad everyone is safe!!’
Noel has not addressed the incident on social media, and is set to perform tonight at the Central Park Summerstage in New York.
