The new games being added to PS Now in April are just as unexciting as the recent PS Plus updates, with indie games again being the highlight.

The , including combining it with PS Now, are not going to take effect until June, which makes we’ve still got several months of normal updates before that happens.

Once the three new tiers of PS Plus come into effect PS Now will no longer be a separate service you can subscribe to on its own, but instead the third and most expensive tier of the new PS Plus Premium – effectively becoming a price rise for those that are only interested in Sony’s streaming service.

Whether that’s going to be worth it depends very much on what games will be added to the service, but the only interesting ones arriving in April are indie games and .

Although both games are good, especially Outer Wilds, they’re also both over two years old, and the only non-indie games being added at the same time are the considerably less acclaimed and WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship.

It’s not a very exciting line-up but it’s still better than the set of , whose headliner was Slay The Spire – another several years old indie game.

The games available each month have always varied in quality but it’s interesting that Sony has made no effort to make the April offerings more appealing, and in fact seems happy for the them to be amongst the least interesting in months.

With more attention focused on PlayStation subscription services than usual perhaps the intent is to make the new offerings in June seem more appealing by comparison, although at the moment Sony hasn’t clarified what games will be on either service, beyond a handful of examples.
