The most popular female star on has take an indefinite break from the streaming service and she’s expected to be away for a while.
Considering the long hours, and the constant attention from fans, there aren’t any streaming stars that don’t get burnt out now and again. This time it’s Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys who needs a time out, and she’s given no indication of when she’ll be back.
She has implied she’ll return at some point, but she wrote in a tweet that she’s ‘in need of a mental reset and some time to focus on myself/my life offline.’
‘IMO, proper breaks are essential to one’s health/career longevity, and I’m so grateful for the support y’all have shown me over the years. Thanks for putting me in a position where I’m able to take time off like this,’ she added.
Unless something happens while she’s away, she has every intention of coming back, stating that she’s ,’Looking forward to coming back refreshed and ready to make more content.’
Pokimane is the most popular female streamer on Twitch, with 9.2 million followers and attracts around 20,000 viewers for each of her streams.
Unlike most of the other top stars she’s rarely in trouble either, one of the few exceptions being when she was banned for during the TV meta.
When will Pokimane be back on Twitch?
A committed campaigner for mental health, Pokimane has taken breaks before and they’ve generally lasted around a month. There’s no reason to expect this one will be any different, but she’s not given any official indication of how long she’ll be away for.
However, she sometimes comes back early for one-off events, such as a special Among Us steam last year, before returning for good.
