Jennifer, who appears in episodes as a ‘friend of the cast’, made the admission during a group trip to Ireland for the show.
When asked by Margaret Josephs, 56: ‘How many people did you sleep with?’, the 52-year-old responded with: ‘Really? Well, James Gandolfini. That’s a fact’.
replied: ‘You had sex with James Gandolfini?’
Jennifer was equally perplexed that Melissa hadn’t heard her speak about it before. ‘Where have you been?,’ she quipped.
Gandolfini played Tony Soprano in the HBO television series, which was centred around an Italian-American Mafia family.
‘Who gets to f**k Tony Soprano?,’ Melissa, 43, said in a confessional filmed as reaction to the scene.
The inquisitive group wanted to know more about the potential liaison – this was a girls’ trip after all.
Jennifer was more than happy to provide her insight, telling them he had ‘sex appeal’, and recalling her upset at his death.

‘He actually took me to an S&M bar. It was crazy, and we hung out, and we drank, and we went back to his apartment and we f****d.’
Gandolfini was married to Marcy Wudarski from 1999 to 2002 and he later married Deborah Lin in 2008.
