The team behind hit US comedy series might well be up for a revival, over a decade since it finished.

The series, which starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, and Donald Faison was a beloved comedy hit for audiences across the world between 2001 and 2010.

It followed the life of Braff’s character, a young physician John ‘J.D.’ Dorian, as he and several other nurses and doctors worked through the days at the Sacred Heart Hospital.

Ever since Scrubs broadcast its final episode aired more than 10 years ago, fans have wondered whether it might .

And comments from Faison, who played Dr. Chris Turk on the show, are the latest encouraging sign.

‘I think we all want it,’ he said during a panel at the recent ATX TV Festival. ‘We all would love to work together again.’

However, Faison said that there might be a few hurdles to overcome before the cast can all get back together to work on any new episodes.

‘It’s just that it’s really hard,’ Faison qualified (via ). ‘It can’t be a full season of a show – it would have to be a movie or something like that, where you could only give a couple of months to it. Everyone is doing things.’

Faison then turned towards the show’s creator, Bill Lawrence (who also co-created Apple TV series Ted Lasso), and said: ‘This dude’s never going to be free again.’

Lawrence himself added: ‘We’re gonna do it because we’re lucky enough that people care.

‘Top to bottom, we enjoy spending time with each other. If you ever have an excuse to work with people that you’d want to spend time with anyways, run to it.’

Faison and Lawrence’s comments come two years after teased a possible return to Sacred Heart on his Fake Doctors, Real Friends podcast.

‘I think it would be fun for us to all do something like that. We just have to get Disney to be into it and Bill Lawrence to be into it. I think it will happen; the fans seem to really want it to happen.’

You can stream all of Scrubs on Disney+ now.
