has explained the sad reason she will only appear on for a few days.

Earlier this week the former judge, 71, entered the house alongside , but it was soon revealed she was going to instead be a ‘special house guest’ for up to five days.

Although it was initially believed this was due to producers not being able to for a longer stay, she’s instead said it’s because she doesn’t want to be away from her family for too long.

Former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy, 75, was five years ago and has.

Now Sharon has said her stint on the reality TV series was so short so she could help care for him.

‘I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long,’ she said.

‘We’re so close as a family. I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever. Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest.

‘I don’t know how I’m going to cope,’ she added when speaking to.

Since a fall in 2019, Ozzy has undergone four operations on his back.

He’s been pictured using a wheelchair and walkers since, and declared in September he would only endure one more surgery, and that was it – regardless of the outcome.

Speaking to Rolling Stone UK last year, Ozzy said his string of operations in recent years had ‘knocked me about’.

‘The second surgery went drastically wrong and virtually left me crippled. I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one they put a f**king rod in my spine. They found a tumour in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too. It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all f**ked up,’ he said.

The performer also said he believed he had about a decade left to live.

‘At best, I’ve got ten years left and when you’re older, time picks up speed,’ he said.

Sharon added: ‘It’s been nearly five years of heartache, and at times I’ve just felt so helpless and so bad for Ozzy, to see him going through the pain.’

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
