revealed she turned to therapy after being subjected to vile death threats following her exit from The Talk.

The former X factor judge, 69, came under intense scrutiny after defending broadcaster for his comments towards , following the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with .

Sharon departed the American talk show – which she had appeared on since 2010 – with co-host Sheryl Underwood.

After leaving the programme, the TV personality underwent months of ketamine therapy, with the class B drug carefully regulated by doctors to induce sedation and amnesia.

‘You’re not out completely. You can hear, you can talk, but you’re so relaxed, and you can’t bull**** on it. It’s a truth drug,’ she told .

Sharon also experienced intense trolling online, which resulted in her hiring round-the-clock security.

‘They were saying they were going to come in the night, cut my throat, cut Ozzy’s throat, cut my dogs’ throats’, she added.

‘I just couldn’t stop crying because all I was thinking about was all the things that I’ve gone through in my life, and now they’re calling me a racist, this is insanity.’

It has now been confirmed that alongside Piers, who is set to return to television with his show Uncensored on the same channel on Monday April 25.

Sharing his thoughts over Sharon’s axe, he told : â€˜I’m particularly delighted about that, because Sharon got cancelled from her show The Talk in America after 10 years, a show that she loved and was the star of, because she tweeted her support for my right to have an opinion.

Sharon’s new current affairs show will also be called The Talk, and she said while confirming the news: ‘I’m excited to be working with News UK, the panel and my good friend Piers.

‘Watch this space for some exciting and lively debates from us all.’
