Sherri Shepherd has shared a sweet throwback of Jamie Foxx amid his hospital stay, sending her hopes for a speedy recovery.
The Django Unchained actor following a ‘medical emergency’, and has remained there ever since.

Taking to Instagram, Sherri, also 55, took a walk down memory lane, reminiscing about their early career highlights as she .
‘I was going through old photos and found this picture of @iamjamiefoxx from back in the day. Beside my memorable role as Sheila, Fancy’s (@garcelle) best friend on #thejamiefoxxshow,’ she began a lengthy caption.
‘I came up with Jamie doing standup comedy and I use to watch in awe every nite when Jamie walked onstage & created magic with his hysterical characters and endless jokes.
‘Sooo many stories we have from the trenches when we were both struggling comics trying to make it.
‘We both auditioned for #inlivingcolor … Jamie made it but I didn’t and I was devastated. Jamie hugged me and said “don’t worry Sherri, it’s coming for you”.
‘I never forgot his words. Whenever we ran into each other it was always a laugh & hug of “we started from the bottom now we here” [sic].’
‘When Jamie sits on my talkshow, I will remind him of the time he had nowhere to go & slept at my apartment that I was getting evicted from,’ she continued. ‘We laughed all nite long at our crazy circumstances and talked about our dreams of making it. So many stories.
‘Jamie you are one of the good ones. Always a friend. Always looking out & extending a hand and you casted an unknown struggling female comic on your hit show and changed her life.
‘I will forever be indebted to you. Get well Jamie. We are all praying for you. Take some time to rest & come back even stronger. You got work to do [sic].’
Just days before Jamie was taken to hospital, he had been working in Georgia for his upcoming Netflix action-comedy, Back In Action, beside Cameron Diaz.
The Day Shift star’s family released a statement last Tuesday, sharing news of his illness with fans.
His daughter Corinne posted on Instagram: ‘We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.
‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
‘We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.’
They have yet to share an update on his recuperation, but a source claimed that his personal health had been in a ‘serious’ position, with his family traveling to be by his side.
An insider told TMZ that he is doing better and is able to joke around with his loved ones, but experts are in the dark about what caused his issues.
They added that that doctors will be doing tests over the next few day – but it is unclear when Jamie will he released from hospital, and when he can return to work.
