has reportedly married his long-term partner according to a recent interview with his former girlfriend and long-term friend, Sinitta.

The 64-year-old has been dating socialite Lauren, 47, since 2013 when the pair were first linked when she separated from her former husband Andrew Silverman.

Simon and Lauren’s son Eric was born in February 2014 and they have been loved up ever since, in January 2022.

It was reported that Simon got down on one knee on Christmas Eve in Barbados, with and Lauren’s older son Adam present.

Although they got engaged at the end of 2022, the couple has yet to tie the knot, but Simon’s ex Sinitta seemed to be confused about these details.

Speaking to the singer who dated the mogul on and off from 1983 to 2014 was asked about the couple’s upcoming nuptials.

Sinitta replied: ‘Oh, are they not married yet?’

She added: ‘I’m not saying anything, but I’m sure they are married. I call her Mrs Cowell anyway, so they may as well be.’

Earlier this year, in his first joint interview with Lauren, Simon opened up about his relationship, revealing that he didn’t think fatherhood was on the cards for him.

‘Twenty years ago, I would have said I didn’t think I was going to have kids because I thought I was too old.

‘So when I got the news I was going to be a dad – and the first time I saw his scan – I was literally obsessed. Something changed and I looked at life in a completely different way. Every decision I make now I am thinking about Eric. Is it the right decision for him?’

In another recent interview with podcaster , the businessman added that his son saved him from a dark time in his life.

‘Before him, I had reached the point where nothing mattered. It all hit me so hard. Being on TV I felt like a clown because I was dying inside. I put on loads of weight.

‘If I was going to be hit by a bus the next day – I wasn’t worried about anything like that. The whole time was dark. It was the lowest level. I can relate when people say that being alive doesn’t matter anymore.’

He later recalled finding out that he was going to be a dad: ‘I got the call from Lauren and she said “are you sitting down?” That’s how you know it’s something big!

‘And it changed everything. It made me happy again, it was perfect.’
