The music management company who oversaw the later period of Sinéad O’Connor’s career have paid tribute to the late singer.
O’Connor died on Wednesday aged just 56 after being found at her home in Herne Hill, south – a cause of death has not yet been given.
Tributes have come in from all over the music industry for the legendary Irish singer, who was.
Pink, , Annie Mac, and several others have shared their condolences for O’Connor’s family, who are still mourning the last year.
And now 67 Management, to which O’Connor was signed, has shared a lengthy statement on their website, thanking the Nothing Compares 2 U singer.
‘We would like to take this opportunity to send our love, our thoughts, our prayers to Sinead O’Connor’s family at this time,’ the statement opened.
‘We would like to thank the incredible love and support for Sinead from her fans first and foremost who have prevailed in their support and kindness throughout.’
It continued: ‘To the wonderful musicians, artists and supporting teams who have been nothing short of incredible in the time that we knew Sinead.
‘Incredible as musicians and incredible as true friends to Sinead. Those that worked with her and those that supported her from the sidelines, thank you.’
The statement also confirmed that O’Connor was planning to release a new album and had been exploring the possibility of a 2024 tour before her death.
It concluded: ‘It has been an honour to have worked with Sinead professionally over the last nine years, but much, much more than that, Sinead was family.’
Figures from the world of TV have also paid tribute to the singer, with that left a huge impression on him.
‘She did a performance, I watched it about three times back to back last night. I’d seen it before many times, but I just re-watched it last night and it just broke me.’
