The Rolling Stones frontman, 78, insists he is feeling ‘much better’ since revealing his diagnosis on Monday, where he apologised for having to cancel gigs with ‘such short notice.’
The singer has now shared the new dates of shows that were forced to be rescheduled.
These include a gig in Amsterdam which has been rescheduled for July 7, and a planned performance in Bern, Switzerland, which will have a new date soon.
In a post on Instagram on Wednesday, Sir Mick thanked everyone ‘so much for your well wishes and messages the last few days.’
He wrote: ‘I’m feeling much better and can’t wait to get back on stage next week!
‘The Amsterdam date has been rescheduled for July 7 and we’ll have news of the new Bern date ASAP. See you soon! Mick.’
As well as Sir Mick’s update, the iconic rock band also offered their ‘deepest apologies’ to fans who had been due to see them in Amsterdam on Monday but said they ‘can’t wait’ for the rescheduled date.
The Stones, which also features guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, with Steve Jordan on drums, are in the midst of performing in 14 shows in 10 countries across Europe.
They are still due to perform in Milan, Italy, on June 21, before an appearance in London on June 25 for BST Hyde Park.
The June 25 show will be followed by the band’s return a week later for a second performance at BST on July 3.
Sir Mick had apologised profusely to Dutch fans who were disappointed the gig had been postponed, writing he was ‘so sorry’ about ‘such short notice.’
‘I have unfortunately just tested positive for Covid,’ he wrote at the time, promising they would ‘get back as soon as we can’ and thanking them for their ‘patience and understanding.’
Drummer Steve is touring with the veteran band after the death last August of long-standing drummer Charlie Watts, who was 80 years old.
The band returned to the UK this month with a sold-out show in Liverpool, which they .
Addressing the crowd, Sir Mick said: ‘In 1962, we met a drummer called Charlie Watts.’
‘This is our first tour in England we’ve done without him so we’d like to dedicate this show to Charlie,’ they told the crowd.
