Ellie had big shoes to fill withbut she’s done it pretty effortlessly on her debut episode.
Her hosting talent has been recognised by viewers of the show, who have heaped on the praise.
One viewer wrote: ‘How good is Ellie Taylor as a presenter on this!!!’ While another added that she was a ‘great choice’ for the show.
Just minutes into the episode one person had formed their opinion of Ellie writing ‘Loving Ellie Taylor’ and it didn’t seem to change.
Other compliments included, ‘brilliant,’ ‘breath of fresh air,’ and ‘excellent.’
Ellie also received support from her Strictly Come Dancing partner Johannes Rabede who wrote: ‘Proud of you’ on her Instagram post.
Although her hosting went down a treat, a few viewers weren’t so keen on her dress choice.
‘Ellie Taylor is gorgeous, who has dressed her in that terrible dress,’ one person savagely wrote.
Somebody jokingly asked: ‘Why is wearing an awning?’
Ellie was more than happy with her styling and even joked in the show that the ASOS dress is what got her the job.
We think she looks lovely too!
Ellie was joined on the show by Liam Charles, who won Great British Bake Off in 2017 and has hosted the show since the third series.
Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden are back to judge the delicate desserts.
