The Good Morning Britain presenter, 53, revealed she actually lost her voice after admitting how how much coffee she consumed in a day.
According to Susanna, the ITV host drank eight coffees a day to deal with the early morning GMB starts.
However, Susanna believes that the ITV host will be making a grand comeback soon.
She said: ‘Losing my voice earlier this year was a bit of a scare. Everyone gets a bit croaky from time to time, but I could not get any noise out of my vocal cords and that’s never happened before.’
Susanna added to : ”I went very quickly to see a specialist, who stuck a camera down my throat, for which I needed a nurse to hold my hand because I found it quite intrusive.’
Susanna later said that her coffee intakes have calmed down as she replaces caffeine with ginger tea.
The morning presenter also made a bold statement over ’s TV career following her exit from .
This comes after Holly was confirmed to return to hosting Dancing on Ice (DOI) alongside Stephen Mulhern next month, after sharing the post with Philip Schofield for many years.
ITV has confirmed the new presenter line-up for 2024 with Metro.co.uk.
Judges Torvill and Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse are back on the panel, and the moment marks 20 years since Holly and Stephen worked together onMinistry of Mayhem.
Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: ‘Holly and Stephen are two of our best loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing On Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show.’
DOI launched on ITV in 2006 and was presented mostly by Schofield and Holly, with from 2012 until 2014 when she left to front The Voice.
Now, after much speculation on who would take Holly’s spot on DOI in 2024, it appears it will be the woman herself.
A source told : ‘Holly is a star and everyone was so very much hoping that she would decide to come back.
‘After many discussions and a lot of thought, she thought that getting some normality into her life would be a good thing.’
