Strictly star is planning ‘crazy’ three-day Las Vegas party bash for milestone 80th birthday

is gearing up to mark her 80th birthday with a ‘crazy’ three days of partying in Las Vegas.

appeared on the most recent season of , in which she was paired with .

They made it all the way to Blackpool , with Angela later saying appearing on the series was ‘one of the most challenging and terrifying, but also joyful experiences’ of her entire professional life.

During her time on the show, with a jaw-dropping and seemingly during a routine.

Now Angela has spoken about how she is not planning on slowing down when she becomes an octogenarian in October.

‘I’m still thinking about how to celebrate my 80th this October,’ she said.

‘I had a big party when I was 60 and I said that would be the last of my parties.

‘When I was 70, I took myself off alone to Oman and stayed in a beautiful hotel in Muscat,’ she added when speaking to magazine.

When she mentioned the idea of a trip to Vegas trip for her 80th, six of Angela’s friends said they would be up for the holiday.

She continued: ‘At my age I should be allowed the latitude to do what I like and if I want to spend three crazy days in Las Vegas that’s what I’ll do.

‘In my head I’ve never grown up.

‘I may not be quite as strong as I was in my 40s or 50s but I am still flexible and the dancing has made me stronger.’

Angela’s time on Strictly came more than 30 years after she hosted the original version of the series, Come Dancing.

She turned 79 while participating and is the oldest contestant in the show’s history.

However, at the time she said she didn’t want people to concentrated on her age and it ‘shouldn’t be a factor in what I’m doing’.

‘If it’s something that encourages people to think more positively about themselves as they get older, then I think that’s probably a good thing, but personally in my head, I’ve been 30 for the last 40 years.

She added it was ‘not something that really concerns me’.
