Self Reliance is as far from the LA loft as you can get – but still feels like something Nick Miller would absolutely get himself caught up in…
In the movie, he plays Tommy, who is faced with the prospect of winning $1million by taking part in a grim reality show and outwitting hunters who are hoping to kill him.
However, he stumbles across a loophole after realizing he can only be Ki**ed if he’s alone, so attempts to surround himself with friends, family and whoever he can get his hands on in a bid to stay alive.
The official synopsis reads: ‘When a middle-aged man is invited into a limo by famous actor Andy Samberg, his dull life takes a thrilling turn.
‘Tommy is offered a chance to win $1million in a dark web reality TV show, where assassins from all over the world attempt to kill him for 30 days.
‘The catch? He can’t be Ki**ed if he’s not entirely alone, leading him to recruit an unlikely team to help him survive.’
Self Reliance is available to stream on Hulu now.
