has reignited her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, after being crowned Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.
In case you somehow forgot, the Gold Digger rapper famously interrupted the Cruel Summer singer’s acceptance speech , uttering the immortal words, ‘I’ma let you finish,’ before telling a stunned crowd that Beyonce should have taken home the win for best female music video that year.
Despite the bombshell scenes, the pair appeared to and seemed to be on better terms in the following years, with the Grammy-winner explaining that he had apologized for his antics.
However, things took a turn with the release of his 2016 track, Famous, in which he referred to her as a ‘b***h’ and claimed that he made her ‘famous’ with the incident – .
After Taylor denied agreeing to this, between the musicians in which they discussed the lyrics before the release.
Unpacking the feud years later, the 33-year-old claimed that it left her ‘canceled within an inch of her life and sanity’.
‘I had all the hyenas climb on and take their shots,’ she told about the tough time in her life. ‘Make no mistake – my career was taken away from me.
‘You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar.
‘That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.
‘I thought that moment of backlash was going to define me negatively for the rest of my life.’
She was then faced with another ordeal when she was to gain control of her own masters, after Scooter Braun famously purchased the ownership of her first six albums.
‘It’s not lost on me that the two great catalysts for this happening were two horrendous things that happened to me,’ she continued. ‘The first was getting canceled within an inch of my life and sanity.
‘The second was having my life’s work taken away from me by someone who hates me.’
Kim, who has since split from Kanye, made a rare comment on the feud during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, insisting that she was ‘over’ everything.
During a game of Squash That Beef, host Andy Cohen questioned her on the drama, and she vowed: ‘I feel like we’ve all moved on.’
It seems as though not everyone got that memo…
