Former star Vas Morgan has been rushed to hospital with malaria.
The 35-year-old, who, shared the scary news on .
Posting a photo of a cannula in his hand while in hospital, he whilst on holiday.
‘Three days in Ghana and already contracted malaria,’ he wrote.
‘Road to recovery starts now,’ he added, alongside a crying face emoji.
About an hour later he , reassuring fans he was going to be ok.
‘Sorry to panic everyone. I perhaps should think before posting something so worrying,’ he began.
‘Me and my Sagittarius need for attention.
‘I am very sick but I’m in good hands and I am told I will have a very speedy recovery. Thankfully we caught it very early.’
He then concluded the post by saying he was set to return to work at his non-profit organisation, the Vas Morgan Foundation, soon.
‘I’ll be back to the village for @vasmorganfoundation asap!’
On his charities social media pages, it explains how the foundation is ‘fighting toward better education in Africa by building and developing schools in underprivileged areas’.
Vas is best known for his stint on Towie between 2014 and 2016.
He quit the show to pursue other projects, including his fashion magazine Tings London.
The star also appeared in Celebs Go Dating in 2018.
He is also the founder of We Matter, a mental health awareness organisation.
Last week Vas celebrated his birthday, posting a series of photos from his party, one of which showed him holding a cake that included a photo of him as a child on it.
He wrote: ‘Happy Birthday To Me! Baby Vas would be very proud of the man he has become. Celebrated my birthday surrounded by love last night.’
