Troye Sivan has sent everyone into a spin with his new music video.
The has provided the ultimate soundtrack to all our summer shindigs with Rush, the lead single from his upcoming third studio album, titled Something To Give Each Other.
Described as a celebration of sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love, and friendship, the music video embodies all of those things as the Aussie star throws the pool party to end all pool parties.
Fully entering what can only be described as his horny era, Troye is captured drinking, smoking, dancing, and making out with sweat-clad, topless boys.
There’s spanking, voguing, pole dancing, gyrating, and actual nudity as Troye brings all his fantasies to life in the homoerotic masterpiece.
The vid ends with the Bloom hitmaker walking away into the daylight with a knowing smile on his face, reflecting on all the wild antics of the night before.
Honestly, there’s a lot going on, so a few watches are probably required to take all the chaos in.
Social media has been eating the whole thing up, drawing comparisons to Britney Spears’ Slave 4 U and earning support from
Sharing their thoughts, one fan wrote: ‘Damn this got me flustered, a bop can’t wait to make everyone around me listen to it all day’.
‘I swear I’ve never seen so much in one clip… I’m speechless!! It’s amazing but seriously, I don’t know what to say!’, wrote another.
‘That dancing, those outfits, everything in this is my kind of heaven’, one added.
Ahead of its release, Troye himself said of the single: ‘Rush is the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer.
‘Party after party, after party after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free, and liberated.
‘Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.’
And if Rush is just a taster of what’s to come, fans have plenty of reasons to get excited.
Returning to his love of dance music for his next album, Troye penned the new songs with writers who have worked with Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Selen Gomez, and more.
Fresh off the back of his star role in Troye’s next record is available to pre-order now and is released on October 13.
