WATCH: Asamoah Gyan’s New Book Is Released: On Saturday, April 30th, 2022, Emmanuel Cheyi Adebayor, the former captain of the Eperviers du Togo, attends the publication of Asamoah Gyan’s book in Accra. The Kempinski Hotel hosted the event. A number of African football superstars were invited to the event, which took place at the Kempinski Hotel in Ghana’s capital. Special welcomes have been arranged for the personalities invited to this book launch event at Kotoka International Airport since the beginning of the weekend. The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, as well as ex-Senegalese international El Hajj Diouf and others, were present at the glittering launch ceremony.

The book details his life’s journey and clarifies some lingering questions concerning his interactions with people both inside and outside Ghana. The book launch event was heavily attended, with dignitaries from the government, celebrities, and football legends such as Yussif Chibsah, Stephen Appiah, John Paintsil, Anthony Baffoe, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, and others in attendance. Meanwhile, he has urged that people cultivate the practice of giving because it leads to success.
“I did not expect this degree of praise,” the Ghanaian footballer told his guests at the ceremony. I’m perplexed by the outpouring of love. Nobody knew who Asamoah Gyan was when I started. I could not have done it without my brother’s help. He is the driving force behind my accomplishment.” Asamoah Gyan claims to have described his life and career in the book “LeGyandary.” Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament for Assin Central, and Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, a business magnate from Ghana, paid GHC 100,000 ($13,158) for a copy of the book.
The event’s photos have been put online and have received a lot of positive feedback from fans and social media users. The ex-Sunderland striker was all grins in images posted on Twitter, which were picked up by the media outlets, when he announced his new book on Saturday night.
The book chronicles Gyan’s time with the Black Stars, including his participation in seven AFCON tournaments and three World Cup campaigns, as well as some hitherto untold events from his career as a footballer. It also includes a comprehensive, open, candid, and exhaustive account of Gyan’s football career, which brought him from Ghana to Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, and England.
