“I did not expect this degree of praise,” the Ghanaian footballer told his guests at the ceremony. I’m perplexed by the outpouring of love. Nobody knew who Asamoah Gyan was when I started. I could not have done it without my brother’s help. He is the driving force behind my accomplishment.” Asamoah Gyan claims to have described his life and career in the book “LeGyandary.” Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament for Assin Central, and Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, a business magnate from Ghana, paid GHC 100,000 ($13,158) for a copy of the book.
