Lil Wayne had the most iconic response after a waxwork was debuted – that didn’t quite resemble him.
The figure has proudly been on display at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for more than a year now, but recently went viral thanks to a video on .
In the footage,, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, posed topless, covered in tattoos and dripping in diamonds.
The snaps caught the eye of the 41-year-old, who didn’t hesitate to share his feeling that it looked nothing like him – days .
Taking to Twitter, the rapper penned: ‘Sorry wax museum but dat s**t ain’t me! You tried tho and I appreciate the effort [sic].’
Fans couldn’t get over the difference between the statue and the music icon, and were living for his response.
‘Oh nah they did my [goat] dirty,’ one wrote.
‘They didn’t have to do my man Wayne like this,’ another agreed.
A follower said: ‘Hollywood Wax Museum was definitely wildin’ with this one [sic].’
‘The wax museum goes really wild on some of these lol,’ a Twitter user penned.
As a commenter joked: ‘Between this and the pale The Rock, wax museums are not having a good week.’
That fan was referring to a new figure of Dwayne Johnson that raised eyebrows when it was unveiled at the Grevin Museum in Paris recently – because it made the Fast and Furious icon look white.
The WWE legend turned Hollywood heavyweight was forced to step in and revealed that he got his team to complain about the skin tone used on the waxwork, in a bid to improve it.
‘For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France ?? so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color,’ he shared on social media.
‘And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself.’
Lil Wayne might want to give The Rock’s team a call, as well…
