The TV host will front the eye-opening doc, titled Sex, Mind & The Menopause, as a follow-up to her critically-acclaimed first documentary, Davina McCall: Sex, Myths and the Menopause.
Davina, 54, has been very open about her own experiences with menopause in recent years, speaking honestly about the debilitating symptoms she’s had, .
Now, the former host is inspired by the impact her first documentary had – – and feels strongly about giving everyone who needs it access to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
‘I literally got stopped by everyone,’ she told Metro.co.uk. ‘Men, women, everyone, saying, “Oh my God I watched that thing last night, it was amazing, I sat down and cried, that’s what had happened to me and nobody listened to me, and now I’m going to go to my doctor…”
‘It was insane!’ she said. ‘I thought “Oh my God, what’s happened, what’s going on?”‘
The movement to educate on the symptoms of menopause and provide (HRT) has ‘grown and grown’ since then, Davina added.
Tonight’s documentary will not only explore he and its early stages, known as perimenopause.

Davina hopes the programme will provide comfort for those feeling like they are alone in going through menopause, and debunk myths on what people think it’s like.
The star has spoken out before about the fear she felt when she first began getting the symptoms of menopause and perimenopause herself, and believes a documentary would’ve helped her immensely at the time.
‘I would have started on HRT much earlier,’ she said.
‘I wouldn’t have struggled on for three years, feeling lost and feeling lonely and scared.’
‘Hopefully any woman in her 40s won’t be in the dark anymore,’ she added.

Davina’s documentary will air on Channel 4 and will be available to stream on All4 afterwards.
She is hoping the doc will ‘give women some hope’ as they feel more confident in talking about what they are going through.
Davina previously told us that she noticed a major difference in others – and herself – was ‘just talking’ about it following the success of her first documentary, saying that ‘women not being ashamed or afraid or embarrassed’ of what they were experiencing is vital.
