Ant & Dec’s will return to our screens tonight for its 20th season.
The variety show launched in 2002, with and at the helm over the past two decades.
However last year they announced the upcoming season would be their.
At the time they said the showand they needed a ‘little bit of a breather’.
Over the years the show has introduced viewers to segments like An Audience Member’s Game, Ant & Dec Undercover, Read My Lips and On Air Dates, also picking up awards including the Most Popular Entertainment Programme at the National Television Awards and the BAFTA for Entertainment Programme in 2013.

What time is Saturday Night Takeaway on tonight?
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returns tonight – Saturday February 24.
The episode will kick off at 7pm on ITV1 and will also be streaming on ITVX.
What else do we know about the first episode?
It’s been teased this season will have plenty of ‘brand new high octane challenges, hilarious hidden camera set ups, new studio games and live surprises’, but will also be a momentous magical celebration of all things Takeaway from over the years.
Highlights coming up in the live launch show this weekend include Stephen Merchant as the Guest Announcer, the unveiling of the brand new little Ant & Dec, a must watch and hilarious Simon Cowell ‘Undercover’ and a special End of the Show Show with Becky Hill and Urban Theory.
Later in the series there’s an unmissable ‘Get Out Of Me Ear: The Revenge’; where celebrities who have been hidden camera victims of Ant & Dec over the years get their revenge by turning the tables on them and being in their ears, which the hosts have already said they regretted agreeing too.
A host of new celebrity faces will be taking up Guest Announcer duties again, and every show will sign off in spectacular style when some of the world’s biggest and best performers take to the Takeaway stage for a one-off performance in the End of the Show Show.
It’s again been billed as ‘the happiest 90 minutes of the week’.
Is this the last season of Saturday Night Takeaway?
In May last year, Ant and Dec posted a video on social media explaining how the upcoming season would be their ‘last one for a little while.’
‘The show takes up such a lot of our year we just feel we need a little bit of a breather and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest,’ Dec said.
In a statement, Ant added: ‘We love making Saturday Night Takeaway but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath.’
The series previously took a pause in 2009, returning four years later in 2013.
