Ready to feel old? turns 25 years old this year- that’s right, we’ve had a whole quarter of a century of adventures with the inhabitants of the small fictional town in Colorado.
With the show still going strong – it recently aired its and has been renewed until at least 2027 – there is still plenty to look forward to in the future of Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s creation.

It makes sense as Paramount has long been behind the distribution of South Park across the years, both on TV and for its big screen adventure, 2000’s South: Bigger Longer And Uncut.
Speaking of which, the Academy Award-nominated movie is also available to catch on Paramount Plus, along with a series of feature-length specials that were made exclusively for the service.
These include Post Covid, The Return of Covid, The Streaming Wars and The Streaming Wars Part Two.
If, however, you wanted to watch the most recent season – season 25 – you can only buy episodes (or the full season) digitally either via Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV, as it is currently unavailable on Paramount Plus.
When did South Park start?
South Park first premiered on August 13, 1997 on the American network Comedy Central.
Its 300-plus episodes have since been broadcast in a number of countries across the world, from India to New Zealand and several countries across Europe and Latin America.
In the UK, it debuted on Channel 4 in 1998 but has been broadcast across a number of channels in the years since, from Sky One to the UK’s version of Comedy Central.
