Michael’s eldest daughter, named Gemma Rose Owen, was born on May 1, 2003.

The now 19-year-old is set to become famous just like her ex-footballer dad, as .

We’ve seen Gemma out and about with Michael – perhaps unsurprising, as she’s revealed she is a .

Previously, he praised his eldest – then aged 18 – for .

Gemma was also recently in the news after she was wrongly mistaken online for an On***ans model named Jill, according to .

Michael also has a 16-year-old son named James Michael Owen, who was born on February 6, 2006.

James has Stargardt disease, a rare condition which causes degeneration of the retina in the eye. Michael publicly shared this information in 2019, saying his son was ‘clinically blind’.

In an interview with The Times, Michael said: ‘He will never be a footballer. My son’s got an eye condition. I’ve never said this. I don’t want a big headline.

‘Clinically, he’s blind. He’s got Stargardt disease, a degeneration of his retina. I used to go and watch him and bollock him about his positioning. He can’t see the ball until it’s five yards away.

‘As much as every father wants their son to play, it is almost a relief to me.’

His two youngest daughters are Emily May Owen, 14, and Jessica Owen, 12. They were born in October 2007 and February 2010.

Occasionally, Michael does share photos of his four children on his Instagram page.

And it appears Michael’s youngest kids inspired.

The dutiful dad joked on Twitter upon his elimination: ‘Finally I can apologise for burning your ears these last few weeks.

‘My kids badgered me into doing Masked Singer UK but I have to say it was a great experience and a whole lot of fun.’

Who is Michael Owen’s wife Louise Bonsall?

Michael’s been married to Louise Bonsall for 17 years now, but the couple have know each other longer.

Chester-born Michael and Louise first met in primary school, back in 1984, and later became loved-up when attending the same Welsh high school, Hawarden High School.

The couple reportedly got engaged in 2004 on Valentine’s Day – which as it happens is also Louise’s birthday.

They married on June 24, 2005, said the at the time. Their wedding venue was believed to be Carden Park Hotel in Chester.

And the rest, it seems, is history.

For the most part, it seems that Louise keeps out of the spotlight, though it is known that she has a passion for riding horses – which is perhaps where daughter Gemma gets it from.

It’s also known that she had a serious horse-riding accident in 2004, when she was aged 23 and Gemma was just a baby.

Louise was thrown off her horse Isabelle at her then-home in Flintshire, Wales, reports said at the time, and fractured her pelvis. Reports also say she had a broken back and hip.

She required weeks of care at the Countess of Chester Hospital, but is believed to have made a full recovery.
