AJ Styles got taken out by The Bloodline and rushed to hospital after an brutal attack on SmackDown.

On Friday night’s edition of the blue brand, the Phenomenal One was stretchered out and into an ambulance before being taken to hospital following a .

Styles had come out at the beginning of the show as he formed an alliance with in their fight against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, but things didn’t go to plan.

A contract signing was set for the main event to make a tag match official for Fastlane, but it doesn’t seem like the former world champion will be making it to the premium live event on October 7.

Before he could come out for the signing, he was shown being attacked backstage by Jimmy and Solo, who decimated the veteran in dramatic scenes.

At one point, Styles – lying among some rubble in a production area – was taken out by the Enforcer as he hit a huge flying splash from some equipment to the ground below.

He was then shown being stretchered into an ambulance as Adam Pearce, Cena and The O.C. members Mia Yim, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows all checked on him.

Thankfully for the fans, there is no suggestion Styles is out with a legitimate injury.

Unfortunately for Cena, it meant he was on his own for the contract signing, which descended into another attack as he found himself laid out with a Samoan Spike and huge Uso Splash.

Cena, Solo and Jimmy have all signed on the dotted line for the massive match at Fastlane, but as it stands the wrestler turned Hollywood star doesn’t have a partner.

While it’s always possible Styles ends up taking that spot after all, some fans given the incredible reactions he’s been getting over the past few months.

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
