superstar Mandy Rose says her ‘heart is so broken’ after the devastating death of her brother Richard Saccomanno aged 40.
The NXT Women’s Champion, whose , revealed her brother died on Monday as she shared a statement first posted on her Facebook page hailing her late sibling as her ‘guardian angel’.
She wrote: ‘It’s still such a bad dream and I can’t believe that I’m even posting this right now. We are so deeply saddened that my amazing brother Richie is no longer with us.
‘Richie will now forever be my guardian angel and we will always keep him so close to us at all times.
‘My heart is so broken, I pray that this pain will go away but right now we have to remember all the good times. We will meet again one day my brother I love you so much. Rest In Peace’.
Mandy also shared a link to his obituary, which refers to the dad-of-two affectionately as Little Richie.
No cause of death has been revealed.
In lieu of flowers, the family have instead requested donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in his memory, while they added that his loved ones ‘will miss him dearly and take solace in knowing he is now at a place of peace’.
The tribute reads: ‘Richie was talented and tireless, always dreaming for brighter days and willing to work to make those dreams come true.
‘Richie’s smile and the light in his eyes could brighten anyone’s day. Richie would give the shirt off his back to help anyone and had a laugh that would light up the room.
‘Despite Richie’s obstacles he tried his best to stay positive every day and was the hardest worker in anything and everything he did. His struggles were real. His love for family and friends knew no bounds.’
