will wear the no.17 shirt at this season.
The Argentine had occupied the no.49 shirt since breaking into the first team last season.
United confirmed the majority of shirt numbers in August but revealed Garnacho, and new signing , could have new numbers in due course.
While the club are yet to confirm Garnacho’s new number, the Argentine’s brother has shared a snap of himself and the winger wearing the no.17 shirt.
Garnacho had been lined-up to take the coveted no.7 shirt but United used the number to persuade Mason Mount to reject the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool this summer.
Instead, Garnacho is taking a number that Cristiano Ronaldo wore at national level when he first broke into Portugal’s first team.
The number has been worn by the likes of Luis Nani, Andy Cole and most recently Fred.
Hojlund could take the no.11 shirt, which was last worn by Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood could leave the club today, with Lazio interested in the forward.
