Barcelona are interested in ’s Wilfred Ndidi, who is in the final year of his contract, but the giants are not alone in keeping an eye on him.
The 26-year-old has been with the Foxes since signing from Genk in 2017 and has made nearly 250 appearances for the club, the majority of which have come in the .
Leicester were relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, but that has not stopped huge clubs being interested in Ndidi.
Spanish publication report that Barcelona have long been an admirer of the Nigeria international, but so have Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Leicester were asking for too much money for the 52-cap international over the summer, but all the interested parties will remain keen when he is available on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.
Ndidi has played in all eight of Leicester’s Championship games so far this season as they sit top of the table thanks to seven victories in those contests.
They will be hoping that a return to the Premier League could be enough to see him sign a new contract with the club, but if Champions League clubs are circling then persuading him to stay may be a difficult task.
It has been a dream start to life at Leicester for manager Enzo Maresca, who joined the club from Manchester City over the summer and is loving working with the Foxes squad.
‘I’m happy in general with all of them,’ Maresca said of his players. ‘First of all because they are willing to learn and have an open mind to see new things.
‘This is the most important thing. The way they grow and the way they are getting better game by game, day after day, in the training sessions, I’m very happy about this.’
