winger is not over an Achilles problem that saw his form dip at the end of last season.
The winger was named as a substitute for England’s 3-1 win against Scotland on Tuesday.
That’s despite picking a strong side at Hampden Park, but his decision to leave out Saka was a huge relief for Mikel Arteta.
The Spaniard has been concerned by Saka’s workload and he wants to manage the playmaker’s minutes going forward.
That’s because Saka continues to struggle with an Achilles problem that he suffered at the worst possible time last season.
Saka scored just two goals in Arsenal’s last ten matches as the Gunners slipped to allow Manchester City back in.
It was hoped a summer without tournament football would cure the problem but the Daily Mail say Saka continues to struggle with the issue.
Nevertheless, Saka will be expected to start as the Gunners travel to Everton on Saturday to take on the Toffees at Goodison Park.
