Chelsea receive approaches from three top-half Premier League clubs for Conor Gallagher

Three clubs in the top-half of the table have made approaches to for .

The midfielder is out of contract in 18 months’ time and Chelsea are open to offers for the Englishman.

Chelsea sold a raft of academy products last , such as Mason Mount and Lewis Hall.

Doing so increases the club’s ability to combat Profit and Sustainability Rules, as all of the money made from academy-produced players goes back into the club’s spending pot.

That’s why Chelsea are open to selling Gallagher, despite the midfielder making 28 appearances for the club this season.

Gallagher would fetch a bigger fee this month than he would this summer, when he will have just one year left on his deal.

And the Athletic say that three clubs in the top-half of the division have already made enquiries for the midfielder.

Gallagher remains keen on staying at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea are unlikely to extend his deal.

The club have spent over £1.3bn since Todd Boehly took charge of the club.
