legend says has left the ‘club of his life’ following his move to .
The England international completed a £55million move to Old Trafford on Wednesday to end his 18 years at Stamford Bridge.
Mount came through Chelsea’s academy, which he joined at the age of six.
The two-time Chelsea player of the year had entered the final year of his deal when he told the Blues he was not willing to sign an extension.
Mount was unhappy with the lack of urgency from Chelsea in negotiations, and he had initially been keen to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s loss is Manchester United’s gain, with the Red Devils tying Mount down to a five-year deal.
Erik ten Hag was desperate to sign Mount as a long-term replacement for Christian Eriksen, with the Dutchman feeling the Englishman’s energy and off-the-ball ability can significantly improve United’s midfield.
But, commenting over Mount’s exit announcement video, Drogba says the midfielder has left the ‘club of his life’.
‘Another prince leaving the club of his life,’ said Drogba, who added a broken heart emoji.
‘Thank you and all the very best to you, champs’.
Mount could make his United debut against rivals Leeds United in Oslo next week.
