There is no shortage of interest in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun this summer, although the Gunners want a huge £50m for the 22-year-old.

Balogun won plenty of admirers during his loan spell in Ligue 1 with Reims last season, where he scored 21 goals in 37 league games.

It was a remarkable burst into the spotlight from the young forward, having made just two league appearances for Arsenal so far and after spending a largely underwhelming loan spell in the Championship with Middlesbrough last year.

However, a string of clubs have been convinced by the America-born striker, with the reporting that five European sides have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.

Both Inter and AC Milan are keen on Balogun, as are Ligue 1 sides Marseille and Monaco, while German club RB Leipzig also want the forward.

The report also states that there is interest in the Arsenal man from England, but the clubs are unnamed and a move overseas looks likelier than staying in the Premier League.

Balogun still has two years left on his contract in north London, which is why Arsenal are confident they can get a hefty transfer fee for him, despite his lack of first team experience with them.

On leaving Reims at the end of his loan spell, Balogun posted on social media: ‘Merci. Never easy to say goodbye, but we’ve arrived at the inevitable destination. Last summer I had the opportunity to join n was welcomed with open arms from day-one! The support I’ve received from you all through-out my loan spell has been incredible and heartwarming.

‘I leave hoping I was able to repay the love, trust and belief you guy’s put in me. This will forever be an unforgettable chapter for me and my family.

‘Thank you for everything!’
