Though Ten Hag is desperate to sign Hojlund, United are operating within a tight budget this summer and the arrival of Andre Onana will mean the Dutchman’s used £100m of his £120m budget.

That leaves little left to secure Hojlund and United now risk missing out on the striker altogether.

That’s because Juventus and Inter are both tracking the Danish sensation and ‘dream’ of keeping him in Serie A, according to .

While United could financially outmuscle both Inter and Juventus, the opportunity to remain in Italy could appeal to the striker.

Ironically, Inter have pulled out of negotiations to sign Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku because the Blues held talks with Juventus over the Belgian.
