United have made significant progress in the search for their new manager and are now laying the groundwork for head coach Erik ten Hag to replace this summer.

According to the , United have told , Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong and Lee Grant that they can leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
The report also claims that Anthony Martial, , Dean Henderson, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly are keen to leave Old Trafford this summer.
However, those six must wait until the closing stages of the transfer window as United are unwilling to sell them until new signings have been made.
