wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho could reach the top because he can play in ‘any stadium in the world’ and wouldn’t be fazed by the occasion.

That’s according to the Red Devils’ coach Travis Binnion, who guided United’s U18s to FA Youth Cup victory against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old scored twice during the 3-1 victory against Forest at Old Trafford and he was named the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of The Year before kick-off for his displays for the U18s this term.

Garnacho has already received a call-up to Argentina’s national side and he made his United debut in the 1-1 draw against last month.

And Binnion believes Garnacho’s fearless ability to play the game, not the occasion, could see him rise to the top.

‘That boy could be in any stadium in the world and he wouldn’t care,’ said Binnion.

‘That’s his make-up. A few of them are like that and that’s why they are going to have good careers.

‘This football club is remarkable at that, it’s the best in the world at that.

‘We have to keep that going, we have a responsibility to keep that going – the pipeline.

‘It’s nice to give the fans a bit of something because they’re different class.’

United’s victory was the 11th time in the club’s history that they’ve won the competition – more than any other side.

A record 67,000 crowd was at Old Trafford to see the 3-1 win and the club will be hoping the class of 2022 can emulate the class of ’92 and the Busby Babes by becoming mainstays in the first-team for years to come.
