Marc Jurado has left Manchester United without making a first team appearance for the club, signing for Espanyol on a permanent move.
The 19-year-old signed for the Red Devils from Barcelona in 2020, bringing with him a lot of promise after spending nine years in the youth ranks at Barca.
The Spaniard was a regular in the United Under-18 and Under-21 sides over the next three years but never made the breakthrough into the first team.
Jurado sat on the bench for one game last season but that was as close as he got to a first team debut and he will hope for more opportunities back in .
Posting on Instagram after his exit was confirmed, Jurado wrote: ‘Dear fans, It is not easy to say goodbye to what has been my house for the last 3 years but the time is perfect to start a new chapter in my career.
‘I have had the opportunity to play with some unbelievable teammates, that I will now call friends and worked with fantastic coaches that helped me along the process.
‘There are too many people who works in the club to thank, they made my job easier.
‘I’ll always support this football club. Once a red, always a red. Thank you, @manchesterunited.’
It looks set to be a busy deadline day at Old Trafford with goalkeeper Altay Bayindir arriving at the club following the departure of Dean Henderson on Thursday.
The Red Devils are continuing their pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, with negotiations ongoing for the Morocco international as the clock ticks down towards the deadline.
