Federico Chiesa’s agent has travelled to for talks with potential suitors including Newcastle and Liverpool, according to reports in Italy.
The forward has been linked with a move to the since his time at Fiorentina and speculation is mounting again this summer.
The 25-year-old made 21 Serie A appearances for Juventus last season but just six of those came as part of the starting XI, even fewer than the 11 league starts he made in the 2021/22 campaign.
The Italy international remains under contract until 2025 but is keen to make a move, which could see him arrive in the Premier League.
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport reports that Chiesa’s agent is in England to hold talks over his client’s future, with St James’ Park and Anfield touted as possible destinations.
Newcastle appears to be the more likely option as the Magpies look to strengthen ahead of their return to the Champions League and are keen to add to their forward line.
Eddie Howe has already seen Sandro Tonali arrive from AC Milan this summer and an Italian double act with Chiesa would be a statement of intent from the club.
Liverpool appear pretty well stocked in their forward line and cannot offer Champions League football in the coming season but they have been linked with Chiesa for years now.
The Reds held an interest in the Italian back in 2019 and have again been linked with launching a bid for him this summer.
How much Juventus would demand for the former Fiorentina standout is not entirely clear, with reports ranging from £30m-£50m.
