Roma striker has revealed that defender Reece James keeps telling him to come back to Stamford Bridge.
Abraham is set to make a return to the this summer, according to reports in Italy, amid links to both Chelsea and .
The Blues are believed to have an €80m buy-back clause and in west London.
Abraham has impressed in the Italian capital under Jose Mourinho since joining from Chelsea in 2021, helping Roma win the Europa Conference League.
The 25-year-old England international has registered 36 goals and 12 assists across 102 games for Roma and there may be more silverware on the way in the Europa League ahead of their semi-final second leg against Bayer Leverkusen.
, Abraham could be set to re-join Chelsea, who are in desperate need of a new striker.
Abraham has a long association with Chelsea having progressed through the club’s youth academy and has scored 30 goals across 82 games for the Blues.
‘Just before I left Chelsea, [Fikayo] Tomori went to AC Milan and we talked a lot,’ Abraham, who has scored eight Serie A goals this term, told .
‘I remember the phone calls, none of us could believe what was happening. We had been at Chelsea our whole lives and in a moment we were walking away.
‘Everything I knew was Chelsea apart from a few loan moves, but even now I think it was the right time to leave.
‘I was ready to take a step forward in my career, I didn’t want to be considered a youngster or a player who had just come from the academy. It was time for me to spread my wings.
‘I still talk to so many Chelsea players, Reece James always tells me to come back!
‘We grew up together and have known each other for years – players like [Mason] Mount, [Declan] Rice and [Eddie] Nketiah.’
