is not the only problem for who ‘still have something missing’, according to Alessandro Del Piero.

United from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia, according to reports.

The Portuguese forward has made it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer after United finished sixth last term and is yet to report for training, having been given extended time off for ‘family reasons’.

A host of clubs have been linked with moves for the 37-year-old, including Premier League rivals , German giants Bayern Munich, first club Sporting Lisbon and Italian side Roma.

‘I still believe he is an amazing champion with a great mentality,’ Del Piero told about Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals in 38 games last season across all competitions.

‘He is not in shape like you used to see. If you play in a team that is playing super well, your performances will be much better.

‘On the other side, if you play in a team that is not playing well, it is the opposite. You’ll play much worse.

‘Manchester United are still in a difficult position. They have changed a lot with managers and players and something is missing at the club ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left.

‘They have different problems, not only Cristiano Ronaldo.’

United have failed to land a trophy in over five years, when they won the Europa League under Jose Mourinho, and have finished sixth in three of the last six top-flight seasons.

They are under fresh management with Erik ten Tag taking over this summer, with his first game in charge .

Ten Hag, , admitted that he saw a number of mistakes during the win.
