It appears the two clubs may be able to solve each other’s problems, with German media reporting that Bayern have proposed a swap deal between McTominay and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, a potential swap has now been thrown into doubt with reporting that Bayern sources have played down Tuchel’s interest in McTominay.
They claim that Tuchel instead wants to prioritise a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
It has been that Bayern have now formally approached Chelsea to start talks over Chalobah.
