The wife of defender appears to have called for to be sacked after the west Londoners were hammered 4-2 by Wolves on Sunday.

After losing 4-1 at Anfield in midweek, the Blues needed to bounce back at Stamford Bridge and got off to an excellent start when put the side ahead early on.

But the lead did not last long, with Matheus Cunha pulling a goal back minutes later, and an own goal from Axel Disasi just before the break saw the visitors go into half-time with a slender lead.

Chelsea’s players were booed down the tunnel at the interval and things only got worse after the restart, with Cunha netting twice more to bag his first-ever hat-trick in the Premier League.

Thiago Silva did pull a goal back from a corner late on, but by that point large swathes of fans had already left the ground and those that stayed .

Some supporters chanted the name of former owner Roman Abramovich while others joined in with Wolves fans when they sung ‘You’re s**t and you know you are’, while there was yet more booing and jeering when the full-time whistle was blown.

And now it appears Chelsea’s supporters are not alone in turning on Pochettino and the team, with Thiago Silva’s outspoken wife Belle seeming to call for a change of manager.

Tweeting shortly before full-time, Belle wrote on social media platform X: ‘It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late.’

Chelsea fans certainly took Belle’s comment to be in reference to Pochettino, with famous fan Frank Khalid replying: ‘I’d prefer you to manage Chelsea!’

There certainly seemed to be plenty of support for her comment, though others questioned the professionalism of a current player’s wife being so publicly critical of the manager.

or indeed a previous manager, having savaged the team last season when they were still being managed by Graham Potter.

Tweeting in January last year, she said: ‘If there was a Thiago Silva in attack and one in midfield, with what we already have in defence.’

The defeat leaves Chelsea in 11th place in the Premier League table and 15 points adrift of Aston Villa, who currently occupy fourth place and the last automatic Champions League spot.

Chelsea’s massive expenditure over the past 18 months is believed to have been reliant on making the top four, or at the very least Europe, but right now that looks like a tall order.
