Lizzo loses ‘220,000’ social media followers in wake of sexual harassment allegations

is thought to have lost an eye-watering 220,000 Instagram followers.

It follows news that three of the 35-year-old Grammy that accused Lizzo of , discrimination and creating a hostile work environment.

Fans are said to be ‘cutting off’ Lizzo, who used to have more than 13.5million Instagram followers, but now has 13.3million.

Lizzo addressed and denied the allegations in a statement posted to her Instagram page on August 3.

Responding to Lizzo’s statement in an interview with , Williams – who was hired by the A-lister after competing in her program, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls – said her words were ‘disheartening’ to read.

‘Initially for me it just further deepened my disappointment in regards to how I was feeling and how I was treated,’ Williams said in part.

Earlier this month, in documents obtained by multiple  outlets, Lizzo was accused of pressuring one of her dancers to touch a nude performer at a club in Amsterdam and ‘called attention’ to another performer’s weight gain.

It was also alleged that Lizzo had accused dancers of drinking before performances – allegations that Williams vowed were untrue.

The dancers are seeking damages for emotional distress, unpaid wages, loss of earnings and attorney’s fees for the allegations, including sexual, religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination and false imprisonment, but an amount has not been made clear.
